To Kill a Mockingbird at 50

This year is the 50th anniversary of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee. I watched the great BBC Documentary 'To Kill a Mockingbird at 50' and just had to dig out my old well-thumbed copy, complete with school notes to re-read. I first read it in school in Manila, Philippines loved it, then I studied it again when I was back in England and still loved it, and have carried on reading it. It's one of those books that's timeless and you can constantly go back to and get something else from it. I decided to do this poster in homage to it, think I might have to turn it into a t-shirt or bag, what do you think? Happy Birthday & Thank you Harper Lee!:)

What I've seen while out walking

Here's what I've seen while out walking lately: A natural Richard Long-esque Line in the grass, a secret path, inquisitive horses, running goats, a sheep barring my way, a beautiful, derelict wall, and great green views. Also seen swallows swooping low and high, a guinea pig making friends with chickens, a storm brewing, fields full of freedom and a hiding white cat.

Death is not Justice poster

'Capital punishment breaches the universal declaration of human rights. it's that simple.'
There's a call for poster entries over at Poster for Tomorrow for posters raising awareness about the death penalty is a violation of human rights, has no place in modern society and that death is not justice, NEVER! This is one of my ideas, you're allowed up to 10 and the best 100 designs will be exhibited in 10 locations around the world on 10/10/10 (the world day against the death penalty) and then collected into a book.

Update: Outline Maps of My Life

My 'Outline Maps of My Life' drawing has been featured on the Hand Drawn Map Association website, mine's no. 243. The site features any map which has been hand-drawn, whether it's scribble of a map on a napkin, a fictional fantastical map or a map showing where you need to trim the hedges. There's some great maps and a few of my faves are: Sergei Sedo's fictional maps in progress, Scott's sea map, Anonymous' map which helped them cross the pirate infested waters of Sulu and Celebes. But it's the stories that help the maps come into existence which are the real treat.
