Neist Lighthouse & Coral Beach

Last week I went away across the sea (not very far) to the Isle of Skye in Scotland. After gorgeous sunny, even hot weather in the UK what did it decide to do when I was off work but rain, at least it kept away the midgies! The top image shows a collection of things I found mainly on the beach such as a golf ball, limpets and crystal rocks, there's also a button made from stag antler which I found at a craft fair in Portree. It's so beautiful and the land/seascapes are always staggering, if you ever get the chance, go!

In Progress: Food Bag Embroidery

Here's what I've been up to lately, I've started to embroider my shopping list of all sorts of food and other stuff onto a canvas bag so I can remember what I need when I go to the shops! This is the start of it, I haven't done much embrodiery before so it's a bit experimental and raw! Above are the tomatoes in progress, always gotta have tons of toms, love them!

Croquet anyone?

Recently creaturemag had a call out for croquet images here's mine, it wasn't deemed colourful or characterful enough for the croquet east publication, but I'm happy with it; I like experimenting and trying out different things otherwise it gets boring. I like the black and white against the background, the different poses and it's also a game: how many different hats can you see? Anyways I've also just updated my website, which I hadn't done in an age, so lots more to see there now.
