I've been updating my website and flickr with lots of old and new work. I love how flickr displays a whole set, it's like a mini online art gallery.

Mr Snowman Arrives!

Here is the first sighting of Mr Snowman for winter 09/10. As you can see he is wearing a stylish coat with multi-stoned buttons an ice blue scarf and magenta gloves and hat and makes me smile so very much!

Sushi Time!

What time is it? It's sushi time! Here's my new t-shirt design on Mysoti full of maki, futomaki, nigiri, iso and gunkan, yum yum!

Envelope Art for Cut-Click

Art using used envelopes for cut-click exhibition. Trying to combine repetition/process element with recycled materials and solid colour/vessels element. Also like how the envelope windows, stamps and flaps inform the work; the light blue against the darker blue vessel, the writing on the inside of the envelope being left.

It's about changing or staying the same, repetition, existence, time, flat becoming sculptural, simplicity, colour, no colour, reusing, everything affecting everything, a view into and through something towards something new, unexpected or not thought of.

Fingerspell Name

Working on a fingerspell alphabet which will have images and letters, but for now here's my name in just an outline.

Xmas Paper

I always try and make some Xmas paper out of recycling whatever paper I have to hand and some paints. It's fun and makes it so much personal. Here's this years, trying to keep it simple I just painted newspaper red and stencilled angels, baubles, stars and reindeer over the top.

Blast from the Past!

Just got an email from the NOISE festival so thought I'd check my account, haven't been on there in ages and I just found out that I got an Outstanding Rosette for my work 'Cardigan Map' (where the alternate contours on a map of Cardigan, Wales are coloured in black) and a place in the Best in Show Fine Art showcase!

I submitted this like over a year ago, and just found out about it now, an amazingly great blast from the past!

New painting of a Jellyfish, part of a new series I am doing of sea creatures to create a set of notecards and original paintings. Love the subtlety of colours and its essence of constant movement.

Business Card Design Idea

I've just redesigned my banner for my blog and shop and thought I could use it for a business card as well. I like the idea of using a self portrait and thought incorporating the weasel as hair/hat would be a fun idea to get a weasel into the design.

Tennis at 02, Rafa vs Novak!

Went to the O2 on Friday to see a doubles match (Mirnyi/Ram vs. Dlouhy/Paes, Mirnyi/Ram won!) and the main event ---Rafa vs. Djokovic!!! Was really cool, venue was great, not as huge as it looked on TV and some really neat touches like, ace. break, set and match point flashing up around the stadium, being in the dark and music at changeovers. Novak won, hope Rafa manages to rest up and come back stronger next year. Vamos Rafa!

Folksy Upcycle Union Jack Bag

Just finished this bag made from recycled materials for the folksy upcycle charity auction/competition. Really like how it came out and love using all sorts of materials which come from anywhere and everywhere, sort of a life story in collected materials.
