Chatsworth

Autumn's here to stay, but there's still glorious colour out there. We went to Chatsworth to see the sculpture exhibition 'Beyond Limits' and the flowers were out in full bloom as well as the Japanese acers in all shades of blazing red and orange.

Antony Gormley's maquette of the 'Angel of the North' placed at the end of the lake.

Nikki de Saint Phalle's 'Buddha' and a flamin' hot Japanese acer in the gardens.

Guy Zagursky's 'Mirror against mirror'. Neon writing in a circular form with a mirror in the bottom reflecting it all repeatedly. This was in a grotto on a bank on the edge of a lake, mirroring the sculpture. Magic.

Yayoi Kusama's Narcissus Garden

Manola Valdes' sculpture titled 'Ariadna I' and George Rickey's 'Two lines up excentric Twelve feet'. Rickey's sculptures were my favourite, they were kinetic and moving in a rhythm I could've watched them for hours and not gotten bored. Couldn't work out if they were mechanised or if they moved by magnets, weight and gravity.

Little sketches & Big ideas

Abstract patterns, animals, city sketches, black & white, colour. So many things for inspiration, so many different styles, decisions. Just start and go from there, take one step at a time and see the opportunity rather than the problems in your way.

Large Animal Drawings

Trying to turn my animal sketches into fierce drawings that can stand on their own two feet, or fins or legs.

Silhouette Heads

Seen this idea a lot lately, I scanned the imprint that it made on the back of the page as well, so they're facing another version of themselves, which was created at the same time.
